Serving finest Italian food to central New Jersey for over 50 years.
Conclusion
This project that our group has undertaken has not only been a valuable learning experience but also a quality experience from a life standpoint as well. Whether it be the lessons learnt from the work ethic of each group member to the various processes of the business we visited, this project for us was an all around success in that we accomplished what we set out to. The many factors we reviewed about Dominick's Pizza and Trattoria Mediteranea included the process strategy, a look into their lean systems and a focus on their competitive priorities. We learnt about their methods of workflow and our group was able to become knowledgeable on the history of the business. If any member of our group thought about going into the restaurant business in at least some capacity, we feel we'd have the tools and a good awareness of the processes to be able to have a starting point and foundation to begin at. We have been exposed to a franchise of four businesses that have survived over half a century and continues to adapt to changing markets. They are doing something right.
